• • <br />PARFC BOARD MDETING <br />Special Meetings March 19, 1970 <br />The meeting was Called to order at 8005 p.m. Arlyn Gunderman <br />presiding. <br />Present< Barnhill, Dahl, Gunderman, Sherlock, Weissman, Moen <br />Absent: Hagemeyer, Hansen <br />Minutes of regular .meeting of March 4, 1970, were approved as <br />submitted. <br />7th Street $ids <br />Motion by Weissman, seconded by Sherlock to recommend to Village <br />Council to accept bid submitted by Bullock for Division 1 with <br />Alternate C. Carried <br />Motion by Sherlock, seconded by $arf~hill to recommend to Village <br />Council to reject the bids for Division 2, and to resubmit these <br />bids with an alternate for planting the trees in the fall (shrubs <br />remain to be planted in the spring. Carried <br />Motion by Sherlock, seconded by Dahl to recommend to Village Council <br />to accept bid by Orvedahl for Division 3 in the amount of $7,133.00. <br />Carried <br />Discussed and reviewed planting plan, which was corrected from last <br />meeting. Seemed to be acceptable to citizens in the audience. <br />Lighting Review <br />Much discussion between merits and demerits of Metallic Vapor and <br />Quartz lighting. Problem mentioned with metallic vapor lights not <br />functioning properly in very cold weather. This will be checked <br />into by Chuck Hefty. <br />Motion by Weissman, seconded by Sherlock to recommend to Village <br />Council to submit bids for lighting in 7th Street Park according to <br />specifications designed by Brauer (40° metal poles, metallic vapor <br />1000w 9fc, etc). Carried <br />This bid to be submitted along with the rebid on the planting <br />according to Brauer. <br />Skeet and Trap Shoot Layout <br />Brauer showed layover for trap and skeet play <br />Lake park. Discussed best placement (should <br />amount of room needed, etc.) and showed this <br />the land in the park. Discussed problems of <br />uses for the land when not used~for trap and <br />z to be put into Long <br />be N.E. orientation, <br />would use about 60% of <br />fencing, finding other <br />skeet.
