A number of comments were
offered by Board members. The following comments were made:
Is the 7th Street site to be the hub of community activity and should
an attempt be made to design a warming house which would later become
part of the large complex or should a temporary structure be moved
onto the site?
Consideration should be given to organizing a building program with a
time schedule. This is frequently done with many buildings. The
first stage is very important, since the utility size, site location
and other basics must be determined at that time.
There is a problem of dealing with a facility which would be useful
today. In attempting to fit this useful facility in with other ones
which there is no determination as to the future of the building
would be, what is the future of the present municipal building?
May it some day become the recreational site?
Although all of these factors have relevance, a concept should still
be developed, Should a building with a planned obsolescence.or
specific destruction or removal date be considered for the present?
