Matilla
reported the applicant would like to see the "Y" connection on
the west side of the building but the Fire Department feels they
would not have adequate connection from that location.

Benke asked if the proposal had been reviewed with the Fire
Department since the staff report; Matilla stated it had been.

Jim Senden, owner of the property, stated he had revised some of
the previous plans; feels this is a good maximum utilization of
the site, which is part of a larger process of an industrial park
and that it will clean up the area. Regarding the location of
the "y" connection, Senden explained the economics of why he
prefers to have it located on the west side and feels his
preferred location would not interfere with fire service.

Norm Wells, architect for Senden & Associates, reviewed drawings
indicating overall useage of the area (noted they were working
with two clients to develop approximately 30,000 square feet in

Page Nine

Council Business

Backhoe Bids
Report 86-218

LP-201: Addition to
existing building
Senden & Associates
Report 86-219
