R . <br />PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />December 10, 1969 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p,m, <br />Present: Dahl, Hagemeyer, Hansen, Morris, TrTeissman <br />Also Present: Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Fischer, D. H. Barnhill, <br />Mrs. James nova, Mr. Charles Hefty, Brauer and Associates; <br />Mrs. M. Barthel, League of Women Voters representative. <br />The minutes of the November 12 meeting were approved with the following <br />amendment: Lake Region Hockey the hours from "...9:30 to 11:00 on <br />Saturdays". <br />Lake Region Hockey Schedule: <br />Mr< D. H. Barnhill appeared before the Board to request that the <br />schedule for Saturday afternoon be revised from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m> to <br />1:30 p,m. - 4:30 p.m. making use for unorganized groups. The Board <br />recognized the Association's interest in 3 hour time periods; however, <br />the proposed schedule represented l~~ hour of unorganized use between <br />noon and 1:30 and 11z hour afternoon use between 4:30 and 6 p.m. <br />Motion by Dar.l, seconded by Hagemeyer that the Lake Region schedule be <br />revised allowing for the Association's reservations 3 p.m.-6 p.m., <br />and furthermore, if this represents a problem for the Association, <br />Mr. Barnhill should contact Mr. Richard Hansen (b33-6932) who will <br />serve as liaison for the park board. <br />Carried <br />Park Site Mississippi and Silver Lake Road <br />The Board viewed a concept of the park site. in the area. Based on the <br />discussion, Mr. Hefty of Brauer and Associates was requested to proceed <br />with a prelimir_ary concept plan. <br />Legion Field <br />Mr. Hefty presented a plan for Legion Field. The Board requested that <br />some modifications be attempted in the area of the present hockey rinks <br />and that .the park planner prepare detailed cost estimates for the plan. <br />Manager was rc~guested to noti.y r^_;~resentetives of the volunteer <br />fire departm.Ent of progress to dwt.e and i~~forming them that a joint <br />meeting wi~.l }.~e request.e~7 sho,rt:.v„ <br />7th Street N.~~7.
