Board r~embers <br />present; Arlyn Gunderman, Willis Seldon, Les Hagemeyer. t~uest~ present: Councilman <br />Haglund; G. Asselstine and Martin Coughlin of Punning Commission; Al McCOi~~tQrk, Clean <br />Weissman, Eugene Partyka, Floyd Newham. <br />Minutes of previoas meetinng read and accepted. <br />Treasurer's report read and accepted as follows: <br />Purchase of Land & Improvement Fund - Balance Feb. 13, 1963 $8,414.99 <br />Village Deposit' Feb. 14, 1963 .~Z~~? <br />E3alance $8,589.99 <br />Gperationa { Expense Fund it i I lags Deposit Feb . 14, 1963 ,~DO_.fJt) <br />Total balance on account March 6, l963: $9,Q89.99 <br />9 ~,d Bus i n~ss <br />Qiscussion was held concerning where trees to be received from. Ramsey County <br />Agent, Roger Conklin, were to be planted. Councilman Haglund volunteered to work with <br />Seldon on this matter. Possibilities suggesi'ed were Sunnyside Park and tax delinquent <br />lands.. <br />Communication from Attorney Richard Meyers was read. <br />With records availab{e and bank statements of 1962, Treasurer Les Hagemeyer <br />was instructed to submit a financia{ report of 1962 to Village Council. 1962 records <br />to be fi{ed. <br />Two checks dated. August t~, 1962 {#!05 and #IC)6) were never cashed. #tQ5 - <br />Arsenal Sand & Gravel Co. $63.31 and #lC6 - Ed Datzen $43,65. First State Bank of <br />New Brighton was authorized to stop payment on these checks. Previous Council approval <br />authorized Park Board to pay Arsenal Sand and Gravel Co. the amount of $63.31 which was <br />done N©vember 13, (962. Gunderman moved to pay Dalzen-69Q 3rd Ave, N.W,, New Brighton - <br />with new check in amount of $43.65. Seldon seconded. Passed. <br />l-lagemeyer moved to pay Larry's Lithograph $27.84 for stationery Etnv. #330) upon <br />receipt of varitied claim. Seldon seconded. Passed. <br />A list of names was not obtained for possible secretarial work for Park Board< <br />Board will attempt to get a secretary by next meeting. <br />New Business <br />Extensive discussion concerning Sunnyside Park. items discussed were as follows; <br />1, Area approval of proposed storm sewer would be influenced by what Park <br />Board decides to do with Sunnyside Park. (Hearing by Council resumed April <br />4, 196.3) . <br />2. Sunnyside Park could not be improved urnless a storm sewer was put in for <br />proper drainage. <br />3, Discussion on street right of way extention of Long View Drive. <br />4, Developing Sunnyside Park possibilities are Little League Bali diamond, <br />football field, picnic area, hockey rink, horseshoe, swing and slide. <br />Action taken by Board; <br />I. Park Board memberEs) to attend Wed. night meeting at Sunnyside School. <br />2, Seldon moved we request Village Engineer for estimate on grading and fill <br />for Sunnyside Park.
