'Two schools (Highview and <br />lrorrdale) will house must of the Community Educa- <br />tion slx>nsored enrichment classes. Mounds View <br />Ifigli School will serve ,is the site for sc~onclary nrike- <br />up classes. <br />Alf Couununity l~~ducation summer classes must be <br />sell'-supportin}; on a 1'ec~ basis. Adequate enrollment <br />will be nec;ded for each class in order for it to be <br />.offered. State re}ulations prohibit Community <br />l±:duc;ation from offering academic classes such as <br />reading and n~~ath an a fee basis, 'Thus you will note <br />our course offerings fall within the range of enrich- <br />ment or activity type programs. <br />Bus transportation for secondary make-up classes will <br />be provided with pick-up points at district schools to <br />students without a fee as per state rel;ulations. Bus <br />transportation with pick-up points at district schools <br />is available for enrichment students on a fee basis. <br />A bus pass may be purchased for $29.00 which will <br />cover the six week summer program. <br />We hope you will find this brochure helpful as you <br />plan summer activities for your children. No bus refunds available after the <br />first day of class. <br />SECONDARY MAKE-UP CLASSES <br />Two types of credit are. offered in the Summer <br />School program. A class meeting four (4) hours per <br />day for a total of 120 class hours carries one (1) <br />credit. A class meeting two (2} hours per day for a <br />total of sixty (60) class hours carries one-half (1/2) <br />credit. <br />1. Credit for High School courses shall be given only <br />to those students entering the 10th grade or <br />above, <br />2. Minimum requirements for credit courses will be <br />26 days of attendance, <br />3.
