_.~,~,. <br />.. <br />/',, <br />• <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4 5 4 <br />AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING SURFACE <br />t1SE OF LONG LAKE <br />The Council of the City of New Brighton does hereby ordain <br />as follows: <br />Section 1. Chapter 19 of the New Brighton City Code is <br />hereby amended by adding thereto Article III, Long Lake Surface <br />t-se which shall read as follows: <br />sec. 19-30. Definitions. <br /> <br />.~ For the purposes of this Chapter, the following words and <br />phrases shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to th~•m: <br />Wake: Is any disturbance of the water caused by a motor- <br />powered watercraft operating in excess of closed throttle <br />and in excess of 5 MPH. <br />f <br />• <br />No Wake: Is the disturbance in the water, if 'any, caus~ci <br />by non-motorized watercraft or motorized watercraft oper~,ti~~~; <br />at closed throttle and less than 5 MPfI. <br />Sec. 19-31. No Wake Zones. <br />a. A no wake zone is hereby established on the surfUce of <br />Long Lake to cover all waters within 100 feet of t:hc~ <br />shoreline except as modified by authorized bout's. <br />b. A no wake zone is established over the entire lake whc~ii <br />the water elevation of the lake is 866 feet or morn atu~vc~ <br />mean sea level. <br />c. A no wake zone is established over the entire lake frr~m <br />10:00 p.m, on Friday of each weekend through 7:00 a.m. <br />on Monday; except during the hours of 1:00 p.m, throwctl~ <br />7:00 p.m. on each Saturday and 1:00 p.m. throu~ih 7:00 h.m. <br />on each Sunday. <br />d. A no wake zone is established over the entire lake can <br />all legal holidays commencing at 10:00 p.m, on tt1~ <br />evening preceding the observed holiday and terminatir~cl <br />at 7:00 a.m. on the day following the observed Y~oliclay; <br />except that period of time between 1:00 p.m, and 7:00 l.,.ni. <br />on the observed holiday. . <br />Sec. 19-32.
