_.~,~,. .. /',, • ORDINANCE NO. 4 5 4 AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING SURFACE t1SE OF LONG LAKE The Council of the City of New Brighton does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Chapter 19 of the New Brighton City Code is hereby amended by adding thereto Article III, Long Lake Surface t-se which shall read as follows: sec. 19-30. Definitions. .~ For the purposes of this Chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to th~•m: Wake: Is any disturbance of the water caused by a motor- powered watercraft operating in excess of closed throttle and in excess of 5 MPH. f • No Wake: Is the disturbance in the water, if 'any, caus~ci by non-motorized watercraft or motorized watercraft oper~,ti~~~; at closed throttle and less than 5 MPfI. Sec. 19-31. No Wake Zones. a. A no wake zone is hereby established on the surfUce of Long Lake to cover all waters within 100 feet of t:hc~ shoreline except as modified by authorized bout's. b. A no wake zone is established over the entire lake whc~ii the water elevation of the lake is 866 feet or morn atu~vc~ mean sea level. c. A no wake zone is established over the entire lake frr~m 10:00 p.m, on Friday of each weekend through 7:00 a.m. on Monday; except during the hours of 1:00 p.m, throwctl~ 7:00 p.m. on each Saturday and 1:00 p.m. throu~ih 7:00 h.m. on each Sunday. d.
