City Manager/Park Funding <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Carlson, to <br />recommend that the money from-the sale'of land, <br />from Long Lake Park be put into a permanent fund <br />and the interest be designated. as follows: <br />-The entire cost of New Brighton's share of <br />operation-and maintenance of Long Lake Park <br />be taken from the interest from. the sale of <br />Long Lake Park.. <br />-A-fixed amount be added to the fund yearly to <br />increase the dollar value- <br />-The remainder of the interest be used for <br />park purposes as necessary. <br />Motion by Carlson, seconded by Olson, to amend the <br />motion recommending that the principal should not. <br />be touched. .Motion carried. Van Hatten opposed. <br />Motion with amendment carried. <br />
