Five bids <br />were opened on February 23, 2007 resulting in the following: <br />^ $42,524.63 Midwest Playscapes, Inc. <br />^ $52,048 Tri-Lake Builders, LLC <br />^ $56,000 Urban Companies <br />^ $95,361.08 Earl F. Anderson <br />^ $106,600 Busch <br />Financial Impact: The Hansen Park pavilion is rented every available weekend April thru <br />October by various community groups or private parties. This results in approximately <br />$1,323.00 of revenue per year. <br />Ea~planation: As shown in the recently completed Strategic Plan, Hansen Park is the most used <br />and recognized park facility in the City. Besides revenue producing rentals, programs that serve <br />large numbers of residents, such as the playground program (which serves 99 youth) and special <br />events (Earth Day, 150 people, Penny Carnival, 400 people) will have a pavilion available to <br />meet their needs. The pavilion to be constructed is a 30' x 40' Orlando Classic Rec Systems <br />Shelter and will be placed in the same location as the previous shelter. This bid includes all soil <br />corrections to the area. <br />The project is to be completed no later than by June 11, 2007. <br />Costs and Funding: Replacement costs will come from two sources. A portion of the <br />new structure will be covered by the City's insurance policy on the previous structure in <br />the amount of $19,421.50.
