Like the suggestions made on CIP. Another concern is the boat launch, parking is unsupervised. Cut down on number of parking spaces. Support the plan. Johnson said basically comfortable with the plan. Large group picnic area is bigger than comfortable with. Seale down small picnic area and scale down parking. Have always been concerned with the termination date. Would like something renewable when expired. Through .maintenance gain .control. In-good conscience do not support banning power boats. It is technically feasible to have a city park but it is not financially feasible. Have the ability to negotiate. Do have vested interest in the plan. It is very close. Bensing mentioned potential historical value on part. of the site and asked that development in that area be postponed for one year - would like to honor that request. In favor of opening park this year on a himited basis. Gunderman said he heard talk that the large group picnic area should be moved to the Ramsey County side. This was studied and found not feasible, so reduce the parking in that area to 1.00. Joint Powers ,Agreement with termination date of 1984 should be eliminated. Should be ongoing to build in local control. Agree with CIP plan, small group picnic area parking reduced to 50 cars. Have no objection to reduction on boat facility as long as there is .access for Sheriff's control. A number of you have taken the time to study the funding. Can't delay -.other funding not feasible at this time. Motion by Dahl, seconded by Olson, that the Park Board recommend to the New. Brighton City Council adoption of the Long .Lake Regional Park Master Plan with five changes: 1. Parking for large group picnic area be reduced to accommodate 100 cars. 2. Parking for the small group .picnic area be reduced to accommodate 50 cars. 3. Parking at the boat launch area be reduced to accommodate. l5 vehicles with trailers; 5 for high speed boats and 10 for fishing boats or sail boats with one year moratorium on .the de- velopment in this area as requested by the 'New Brighton Historical Society. 4, The 1982 development capital improvement .program be revised to reflect expenditures as stated in staff memo dated March 11, 1982:
