We should pay <br />money to Ramsey County and bow out. Does the City have equip- <br />ment to handle mowing? .City intends to buy Texgas-which is worth <br />about $400,000 plus. interest. Can't follow this. What about <br />liability? Where. does capital improvement money for park come <br />from? What if someone gets hurt or killed. Think City should <br />sell property, put money into downtown where it creates some <br />revenue. Think this is a-dead horse. <br />Mrs. Dufrane, 1728 14th Ave.. (She <br />read top part of petition to the Park Board). <br />The statement by Virginia Sande represented 43 people from <br />the League. of Women Voters.- This petition represents 700.. <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Carlson, to accept petition. <br />Motion passed. <br />Mark Anderson, (.Jaycees) <br />Looking to .the future. Have 2 pre-schoolers,_ Lived in New <br />Brighton one year. Have been active in New Brighton. Believe <br />there are many flaws. As a whole there-are many exciting and <br />interesting parts to it, Hope it will. be looked at in constructive <br />ways and won''t end up with nothing. <br />Gunderman stated the next meeting is scheduled for March 15th <br />at Hghview Middle School Cafeteria, 7:30 p.m. Will hear Park <br />Board reaction and .address as we go .through items. <br />Roger Wilson stated insurance, liability should. be addressed. <br />VI.
