EXCERPT FROM JANUARY 6, 1982 <br />PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />V. New Business <br />A. Long Lake Clean-Up - Sue Louma <br />Motion by Carlson, seconded by Dahl, that he supports <br />Sue's project and feels a record of participants in- <br />volved in the clean up be kept and the Park Board should <br />send a letter of thank you to those .people. Motion passed. <br />Jerry Bensing stated he wanted the record to show that <br />he will have $70 given to Sue Louma if needed for the <br />Long Lake clean up. <br />B. Gayle Bromander - Railroad Museum, Long Lake Park <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by Hogan, to refer. Bromander's <br />presentation to the Long Lake Study Committee for their <br />reactions and any recommendations. Motion passed. <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by Olson, that the Park Board <br />is in .favor of the concept having Minnesota Transportation <br />Museum located in New Brighton. Motion passed. <br />D. Recreation Program Criteria <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Van Hatten, to approve the <br />proposed recreation criteria. .Motion passed. <br />E. Use of Eagles Club Gift <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Dahl, to .accept the .money <br />and let staff determine best use. Motion passed. <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by Solberg, that donations that <br />have specific recommendations for use are not subject to <br />the "Gift Criteria." Motion passed. <br />F. Discussion of Procedures and Timing for Decision on Long <br />Lake Master Plan <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Johnson, that the first meeting <br />with the Long Lake Park Master Plan draft will be a Park <br />Board meeting-. The meeting will be a presentation to the <br />Park Board from the Long Lake Study Committee. Motion passed. <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by .Dahl, that the second meeting <br />be a joint meeting with the City Council with no action taken, <br />the next meeting will attempt to formulate a recommendation <br />to the Council. Motion passed. <br />
