December 7, 1983 Park Board Minutes Page 4 Gunderman asked if there was a major conflict with the time tY;e park opens and closes Ken Simons said the park generally opens at sunrise and closes at sunset.. Action could be taken to change the time to the City's preference. It is the County's preference to clear the park users prior to dark for the safety or protection of _law enforcement officers. It may be possible to change the time for certain activities. Carlson said that closing the park at sunset would be inconvenient since sunset is generally 4:30 pr S:OO pm during winter months. This would eliminate .any walks or cross .country skiing in the park after that time. Ken Simons stated the sunset time could be waived with County Board approval.
