EXCERPT FROM DECEMBER 7, 1983 <br />MINUTES <br />V. New Business <br />A. <br />B. <br />Long Lake Park LTse Ordinance <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Dahl for Discussion purposes, <br />that the Park Board go on record as favoring an open park.. <br />Motion passed. <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Van Hatten, to request <br />that Ken Simons and John Kelley institute changes in the <br />Ramsey County ordinance regarding Long Lake Park hours, <br />to conform to New Brighton Park hours. <br />Motion passed, Dahl opposed. <br />Motion by Van Hatten that the area in the park on the west <br />side of the railroad tracks be designed as a snowmobile area. <br />Motion died for lack of a second. <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Carlson, that the Park <br />Board take the position that snowmobiling be allowed on <br />the lake. surf ace . <br />Motion passed. <br />Motion by Carlson,. seconded by Van Hatten, that any non-motorized, <br />off roadway recreation activities be allowed in the entire park. <br />Motion passed,. <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Van Hatten, that the south. shore <br />of Long Lake be an access for snowmobiles and ice fishermen <br />in the winter. <br />Motion passed. <br />Long Lake Joint Powers Agreement <br />Motion by Dahl, seconded by Olson., that the Joint Powers <br />Agreement be extended for 5 years beyond the present date. <br />Motion passed. <br />
