9
Any combustion process produce some air emission.. However, the alternative
. waste disposal practice, i.e., landfilling, is less desirable due to a long-
term potential risk to groundwater quality. Air pollutant emissions from the
facility are at acceptable levels to protect air quality standards.
While the facility will generate noise, no sources of excessive noise are pro-
posed. The facility should be compatible with adjacent industrial land uses.
Residuals Prom the facility must be properly disposed of. As part of MPCA~s
permitting processes testing should be conducted of the bottom and fly ash to
to identify acceptable disposal options. Experience with other incinerators
indicates that mixed bottom and fly ash can be disposed of without special
precautions and, in fact, is a suitable landfill cover material.
CERTIFICATION BY RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENTAL UNIT
I hereby certify that the information contained in this document is true and
correct to the best of my knowledge and that copies of the completed EAW have
been made av le to al points in the official EQB distribution list.
Signature ~-Q~
Title .Chairman
Date ~i~~
C~
