January 5, 1983 Park Board Minutes Page 5 <br />• Anderson said he would like to keep the funds controlled by the <br />.Park Board at least for the first year. <br />Gunderman said he would ,like to keep the responsibility permanently <br />in the Park Board. <br />Van Hatten said if it gets bigger, then it could be expanded. <br />Dahl felt the same. <br />Anderson said he knows Steve Schmidt and maybe the Council are <br />looking for a wider representation than the Park Board because <br />the gifts idea would include the whole city. <br />Dahl felt the Park Board should keep the responsibility. <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Carlson, to recommend the gifts <br />catalog format with the Park Board in charge of the funds for the <br />first year. Motion carried. <br />Gunderman welcomed Roger Blomquist back to the Park Board as <br />Council Representative. <br />Van Hatten asked what the city was doing with the money it re- <br />ceived from Ramsey County. <br />• .Anderson said it has been invested. In a few weeks it will go <br />to the Council with a recommendation when the Finance Director <br />comes on board. <br />VII. Announcements <br />None <br />VIII.
