MEMORANDUM <br />DATE March 28, 1984 <br />TO Maurie Anderson, Director of Park & Recreation <br />FROM Brenda Krueger, City Planner <br />SUBJECT: GORDON HEDLUND'S REQUEST TO PURCHASE THE 30 FEET <br />OF VAGATfD RIGHT-OF-WAY OF 74TH AVENUE NW <br />On March 27, 1984 the City Council vacated a portion of 14th ~, Enue NW <br />(see attached maps). The vacated right-of-.way now reverts back to the <br />underlying property owners; Mr. Hedlund's property on the west and <br />park property., to the east. In response to Mr. Hedlund's request to <br />purchase the City's portion of the vacated rigth-of-way the Council <br />directed the Park Board to make a recommendation on the sale of the <br />property. Two questions the Park Boord might address are: <br />1.'What has been the past policies on selling park land for <br />private ownership, and do those policies apply in this <br />case? <br />2.
