New Business <br />B. Long Lake Joint Powers Agreement <br />Anderson said the Long Lake Advisory Committee and County staff <br />have spent time designing facilities, mostly the bath house, <br />beach fencing and gate. Have met with the architects and there <br />is a difference of opinion onthe design aspects. The question <br />that keeps coming up is who will be operating the facilities <br />and how will they be administered. The Joint Powers Agreement <br />gives the. City permission to operate the beach and other <br />facilities but it expires in 1984. Anderson recommends extending <br />the agreement in its pre::~~nt form for 5 years. Have talked to <br />Met Council and they said tt~~e decision is Ramsey County's. <br />Andersen su~~t~erts the extension because the City's intention <br />is to oE~c r~,tc• sE~nsitivi:• f:,~•i lities in the 71ark to ease the <br />impact of t t~c~ E,,i r k.
