Dahl asked where the statement about the liquor store should go. Three Park Board-members said they do not shop in New Brighton because. of. the.high prices. Anderson said that things are looking up for the ..Liquor Store. Sales were way up Memorial Day weekend. Dahl feat the personnel .were not as friendly as they were a few years ago. Johnson said he would be willing to help with some advertising tips with his marketing background. Dahl asked if the New Brighton Historical Society should be listed somewhere.... Janecek agreed because the City does support the group financially. Van Hatten mentioned that it is good to recognize someone when they retire, but there should be some recognition before that Maybe every 10 years or some kind of .bench mark for these people. Dahl suggested using their term as bench mark... .Anderson thought 10 & 20 year bench mark for community services would be-good. If the service is in more than one area - recognize that too.
