NE~7 BRIGHTON PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />MARCH 7, 1984 <br />I. The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Chairperson Gunderman. <br />II. Members present:. Gunderman, Hogan, Johnson, Olson, Rose, Solberg, <br />Council Rep. Janecek <br />Members absent: Carlson, Dahl, Van Hatten <br />III. Minutes <br />A. Minutes. of February 1, 1984 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Janecek stated Arlyn Gunderman was the recipient of an award <br />from the Chamber of Commerce .for .his outstanding service to <br />the community. The Cable TV issue has. been settled; we are <br />looking for completion in November. The City has signed an <br />agreement for a hotel which gives them 90 days to get their <br />financing and get back to the City. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />No Report <br />V. New Business <br />A. 5tormwater Management Plan <br />Les Proper, City Engineer, was present to review the Stormwater <br />Management Plan with the Park Board again. Proper went down <br />the list of parks and concern areas for the Park Board and <br />indicated what would. be necessary at each location. <br />Sunny Square - this park does need to have minor changes <br />to incorporate the Storewater Management plan but work on <br />the strees for sewer installation will take place in 1988 <br />and the storm water can be done at the same time, <br />Creek View - No change necessary. <br />Golf Course- some changes necessary. The situation will <br />improve with the changes. <br />Hidden Oaks Park - There are two ponds; one has 6.2 bounce. <br />No change proposed. <br />Anderson said both ponds are in an area not heavily used. <br />Freedom Park - ~TOU will be concerned about this park. ~7ater <br />ponding will be necessary. Conveyance is an expensive alterna- <br />tive. If water was not stored in the park, flooding in resi- <br />dential areas would occur. <br />
