NE~7 BRIGHTON PARK BOARD MINUTES MARCH 7, 1984 I. The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Chairperson Gunderman. II. Members present:. Gunderman, Hogan, Johnson, Olson, Rose, Solberg, Council Rep. Janecek Members absent: Carlson, Dahl, Van Hatten III. Minutes A. Minutes. of February 1, 1984 meeting were approved as submitted. IV. Correspondence A. Council Report Janecek stated Arlyn Gunderman was the recipient of an award from the Chamber of Commerce .for .his outstanding service to the community. The Cable TV issue has. been settled; we are looking for completion in November. The City has signed an agreement for a hotel which gives them 90 days to get their financing and get back to the City. B. Long Lake Advisory Committee No Report V. New Business A. 5tormwater Management Plan Les Proper, City Engineer, was present to review the Stormwater Management Plan with the Park Board again. Proper went down the list of parks and concern areas for the Park Board and indicated what would. be necessary at each location. Sunny Square - this park does need to have minor changes to incorporate the Storewater Management plan but work on the strees for sewer installation will take place in 1988 and the storm water can be done at the same time, Creek View - No change necessary. Golf Course- some changes necessary. The situation will improve with the changes. Hidden Oaks Park - There are two ponds; one has 6.2 bounce. No change proposed. Anderson said both ponds are in an area not heavily used. Freedom Park - ~TOU will be concerned about this park. ~7ater ponding will be necessary. Conveyance is an expensive alterna- tive. If water was not stored in the park, flooding in resi- dential areas would occur.
