'March 7, 1984 Minutes Page 2 <br />Rush Lake- No change <br />Pike Lake - No change <br />Driftwood - No change <br />Silver Oaks - No change <br />Hansen -.there will be more water there over a longer period of <br />time but the high flows will be reduced. <br />Totem Pole - No change <br />Veterans - This park will be a concerns there will be ponding <br />necessary but the changes can be facilitated when downtown is <br />developed. <br />Gunderman asked Anderson what his concerns were. <br />Anderson said the report shows that Sunny Square will not be a <br />major problem - the water has other places to go than activity <br />areas. Veterans will be redeveloped with the downtown development <br />and water storage can be worked in at that time. <br />Olson expressed concern with the 5 feet of water that could be <br />at Veterans. <br />Anderson explained that the water is only there for a short time. <br />Proper said that area where the water is held can be spread out too <br />Anderson said Freedom is the problem. 4 acres of the park would <br />have to be water storage and it is only a 9 acre park, There is <br />a 3~ foot bounce with a 2.2 hour duration. <br />Solberg asked what area of the park is generally wet now <br />Gunderman said the outfield is bad. <br />Gunderman asked what the expensive system is that:~as mentioned <br />Proper said putting in bigger pipes for storm sewer. <br />Solberg asked if an estimated-cost was avialableR <br />Proper guessed somewhere in the hundred thounsand dollar range <br />Proper stated the pipe that is in now is 42" in size. <br />Hogan asked what size pipe was needed if the park ~s not used for <br />water storage.. <br />Proper said he didn't know at this time. <br />Gunderman asked about holding water from Freedom in an .already <br />existing pond. <br />
