New Brighton Park Board
Minutes
December 4, 1985
I. Chairman Gunderman called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. He
asked the Park Board to notify himself or Maurie if they would
be unable to make a meeting so that it would be known in advance
whether-there would be enough for a quorum.
II. Members present: Blomquist, Gunderman, Johnson, Olson, Rose,
Seward, Van Hatten, Council Rep. Benke
Members absent: Carlson, Eichers
TII. Minutes
A. Bel Air Builders are planning a single
family development.
The Council gave preliminary approval for the Senior
Citizen highrise next to New Market. The neighborhood
is finally in agreement and support of the project. It
will be similar to the Palmer Drive residence but it will
have underground parking.
The-well being considered at Hidden Oaks would be a small
well with no iron removal facility. The Council is con-
cerned about the purchase price for the additional land
being considered at Hidden Oaks.. A feasibility study is
being done.
The Council has set a special meeting on January 7 to
interview for the council position and the board and
commission openings.
The Planning Commission reviewed and rejected the waste
energy plant. The major reason was that the air quality
did not meet New Brighton code.
Two surveys have been sent out; one to staff to help with
goal setting, the other is a community survey that went out
with the City Newsletter.
