Sept. 4, 1985 Park Board Meeting Page 4
Gunderman said we could try it for a year.
Van Hatten asked if any other activities should be
included - would the softball people be asking why
are we being charged?
Anderson said they shouldn't feel that way because
we are offering them something considerably better
than what they have. If they do not want to give
the money then we need to ask if there really is
a need.
MOTION BY VAN HATTEN, SECONDED BY SEWARD, TO APPROVE
THE IDEA OF A FIELD DEVELOPMENT CHARGE FOR SOFTBALL.
Carlson asked if we are eliminating the opportunity
to have them give more?
Anderson said maybe the JC's would be interested
in buying into the program.
A $70 per team fee is suggested.
MOTION CARRIED.
Anderson informed the Park Board that the vandalism at
Hansen and Driftwood has been bad. Shingles from the
pavilions have been stripped three times this summer.
Eichers asked if maintenance is done regularly, i.e.
sweeping the parking lots, etc.
Anderson said it is getting better, we are working on it.
VII.
