<br />1.) The County Board authorize the Department to revise <br />the plans far .the beach parking lot to eliminate the <br />immediate need for lowering or removal of the pipeline <br />from its present location, <br />2.) that the.. temporary parking lot be constructed in 1985 <br />in the same general 1ncation, provide the same capacity, <br />comparable material and same drainage system as the <br />original plan, <br />3.) that upon termination of the pipeline easement (1997) <br />the interim lot be replaced by the parking, lot as <br />specified in the original plans, and <br />4.) that the County Board authorize the Department to <br />continue negotiations with the Pipeline Company for an <br />earlier removal of the pipeline. The staff recommendations <br />approved by the Public Works Committee will be submitted <br />to the County Board for approval at tts March ll meeting. <br />C. Beach Refectory Building <br />Since the last reporting date, the Building Contractor has completed <br />the shingling of the roof and installation of the fiberglass Skylight <br />and continued applying redwood siding to exterior facia and beams, <br />Building doorways have been secured with temporary plywood'panels. <br />The County Board. at its February 25 meeting authorized the Department <br />to request the Metropolitan Council to amend the Long Laike Development <br />Grant Contract far the purpose of funding lockers and food concession <br />equipment. <br />Staff has selected the coordinated color scheme for wall .paint, <br />door and frame paint, flooring materials and wood stain. <br />D. Site Development <br />x:-- It is anticipated that Arcon Construction Co. will .start installation <br />of the remaining sections of sanitary sewer and water main during <br />the week of March 4. Said installation will be within the linear <br />easement area (Butcher's Spur) recently acquired from the Minnesota <br />Transfer Railway Co. <br />The County Board at its February 25 meeting authorized the Department <br />to request the Metropolitan Council to amend the Long Lake Development <br />Grant Contract for the purpose of funding the installation of railroad <br />grade crossing signals and utility service to the beach refectory <br />building. <br />
