November 5, 1986 Park Board Minutes <br />Page 7 <br />Anderson said he has talked with the people at the <br />nursing homes. We could build raised platforms for <br />wheelchairs to view ball games. <br />Van Hatten said or we could berm it. <br />Anderson said we tried that before, it didn't work <br />very well. Erosion was a problem. <br />Anderson said he's excited about the park. Residents <br />will support it. -The small storm is pretty well <br />passed. <br />Van Hatten asked if the city acquired the lot across <br />from City Hall. <br />Anderson said yes. <br />Carlson asked if the new plan for Veterans had been <br />shown to the Police Chief. <br />Anderson said the plan has been discussed at staff <br />meetings. Both the City Engineer and Police Chief <br />have had an opportunity to see and discuss it. <br />VII. Announcements <br />A. MRPA Workshop <br />Anderson told the Park Board to let him know if they <br />were interested in attending. The City will pay the <br />cost. It's Tuesday night, November 18. <br />VIII. Adjournment <br />MOTION BY BLOMQUIST, SECONDED BY OLSON, TO ADJOURN THE <br />MEETING AT 8:SOPM. MOTION CARRIED. <br />A date for the Park Board Christmas Party was set for <br />Friday, February 13, 1987. <br />
