MOTION CARRIED. <br />Williams said there is still no response to the <br />specific Pike Lake problem and that reserves be <br />requested for this area. <br />MOTION BY SEWARD, SECONDED BY KALINA, TO SPEAK TO <br />THE POLICE CHIEF ABOUT ADDING. RESERVES TO HELP THE <br />VANDALISM PROBLEM AT PIKE LAKE AND THE PARKS. <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />VI. Old Business <br />A. Veterans Park Update <br />Anderson showed the Park Board the final plans for <br />Veterans Park. It fits together nicely. Anderson <br />said he is very pleased. The first phase of develop- <br />ment is to reestablish the ball diamond, regrade and <br />put the base in for the trails before the turf goes <br />in. <br />Anderson said he made appeals to the Lions, Eagles, <br />and American Legion Clubs for money. Anderson said <br />he asked for $30,000 from the Lions. <br />Williams said the Lions told the Council they would <br />like to take on the shelter building at Veterans Park <br />as their project. <br />Anderson said the Eagles have been good. Maybe they <br />will take on the player benches bleachers, etc. <br />Olson asked if the ball diamond would be unplayable <br />next year. <br />Anderson said yes. <br />Seward asked if the trails would be marked for <br />distance. <br />Anderson said yes. <br />
