July 2, 1986 Park Board Minutes Page 8 <br />Rose asked about toilets. <br />Anderson said Satellites. <br />Anderson said renting a building may be a way to see how much <br />use it gets. <br />Blomquist said all other parks with shelters have ball games and <br />hockey rinks. <br />Anderson said Vermont is an exception. <br />Johnson said he would like to see the building tables. <br />Eichers asked what the dollar amount was, to be considered CIP. <br />Anderson said CIP is a permanent structure and about $5,000 <br />with a useful life of about 10 years. <br />Anderson said a hard court area at Silver Oak and Long Lake <br />Road crossing should be added to 1989. <br />Johnson. said to move the Vets shelter from 1987 to 1988. <br />Williams said the play equipment and plantings could be 1987. <br />Johnson asked if the preliminary work at Freedom could be split up. <br />Anderson said no. <br />Johnson said Freedom has the best ball field in the city. It's <br />the best one to light. <br />Anderson said the other alternative would be Hansen but that°s <br />not a good choice. <br />Johnson asked why the lighted field was in 1987. <br />Anderson said we've been talking about it for 12 years. We are <br />at capacity now for ball teams.
