Appointment of Representative to Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED BY VAN HATTEN, TO REAPPOINT GEORGE <br />CARLSON AS REPRESENTATIVE TO LONG LAKE ADVISORY COMMITTEE. <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />Carlson apologized for missing the meetings. He had eye surgery <br />and his father has been in the hospital. <br />C. Re view of Old Highway 8 Corridor Study <br />Williams said there was alot of concern voiced on the Jones <br />Lake area for usable area rather than wild life area. The <br />Planning Commission wanted to give it a fair amount of study. <br />They want the Planning Commission and the Park Board to get <br />together and discuss it. Perhaps have someone make a presenta- <br />tion. The study is not complete, it's very complex. In a <br />month or so they may have a better idea of proposals. <br />Johnson said he feels it is a stark highway - no trees. <br />Williams said it could go all the way to County Road D. The <br />city might want to consider a cooridor beyond Co. Rd. D. <br />Seward asked if the Beisswenger area will be cleaned up prior <br />to the Long Lake Beach opening. <br />The response was probably not... <br />MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED BY CARLSON, TO ADJOURN THE MEETING <br />AT 9:15PM. <br />
