Resident comment was that St. John's has plans for upgrading the parking lot. MOTION BY SEWARD, SECONDED BY OLSON, TO RECOMMEND PLAN #4 WITH THE VACATING 3RD AVE. Johnson said he would like to see his earlier comment about having another access behind the ball diamond added to motion. Olson said the tot lot area with two separate age group areas could be added too. Seward said the residents like Plan #4 also. Johnson said the residents had no opposit~n.to the pond. Olson said yes, they preferred the pond over the detention area. Carlson asked if the school had been approached on the pond, regarding safety. Johnson said it will only be 18" deep. Carlson thought it could become a liability concern. Midness felt it was safer to always have water and treat it as a pond, than if there was only water there occasionally. Carlson agreed that the enticement wouldn't be there if the water was always there. Van Hatten felt something needed to be done to satisfy the residents regarding the 3rd Ave. closing.
