Old Business None VII. Announcements A. Mounds View Park Tour Mounds View is planning another combined .Park Board meeting between the cities. It will be a tour of Central Park in Roseville. Hansen Park may be included in the tour to look at the entrance and play equipment. A Shoreview park may also be looked at. The tour will probably be on a Saturday morning. Johnson said he would like New Brighton to have a good response and keep these meetings going. B. Anderson said the Park Board. Members should have received a notice of a workshop from MRPA. It is for Park members across the state on Aprl 15. It would be nice if someone would go. It is 5:30-9:OOpm. The City will pick up the tab. It is at Highland Park Reserve. Need to know by April 11. Anderson asked the Park Board if for the residents in .the Veterans posal. Will send a flyer out. there should be a special meeting Park area to see the park pro- Johnson suggested holding the resident meeting before the regular May Park Board meeting and hold the meeting at City Hall. Blomquist asked if the concept plan would be available before the next meeting. Anderson said yes. THE MEETING WAS SET FOR MAY 7TH, VETERANS PARK DISCUSSION FROM 6:30.-8:OOPM AND THE REGULAR MAY PARK BOARD MEETING HELD AT 8:OOPM. THE MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT CITY HALL. Anderson wanted to know how the Council feels about certain aspects of the plan. He asked Williams if the plan should be taken to the Council meeting for their reaction. Williams suggested that Anderson make a short presentation about the 3 options and let the Council react. Anderson said $175,000 would be for the shelter building itself. Approx. $100,000 for the earth work. Total of about $300,000. Williams thought it would be helpful to give the different phases. Williams thought the earthwork estimate may be low. Anderson said if we can get free fill it .should be close. MOTION BY VAN HATTEN, SECONDED BY ROSE, TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 10:00PM.
