PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 2, 1987 <br />I. The meeting began at 7:45pm. <br />II. Members present: Blomquist, Eichers, Kalina, Van Hatten, <br />Council Representative Williams <br />Members absent: Carlson, Johnson, Olson, Rose, Seward <br />III. Minutes of November 4, 1987 <br />Not approved, no quorum. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Williams stated the widening of Long Lake Road project <br />was approved by the Council. Work will begin next <br />summer. <br />Williams said the Council approved the project to put <br />all wires underground. All residents pay $2 - $4/month <br />for approximately a 5 year time period to cover the cost <br />of this project. <br />Williams stated there is a new park fee for new builders <br />in New Brighton. Developers would pay $750 per house, <br />$650 per duplex and less for single family. <br />Williams said the City settled the water issue with the <br />Army. The City will receive approximately $9 million. <br />Eichers asked if the water bills will go down. <br />Williams said he wasn't sure, but they .probably will not <br />be going up. The overall bill may go up because of an <br />increase in sewer rates. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Nothing to report - no meeting. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Civic Center - Tour St. Anthony <br />The Park Board took a one hour tour of St. Anthony <br />Middle School .area lead by Ron Laliberte and Kathy Knapp <br />of St. Anthony School District #282. Classrooms, pool, <br />gym, offices and auditorium were the areas that were <br />toured. <br />
