NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 3, 1987 <br />I. The meeting was called to order by chairman Johnson at 7:30pm <br />II. Members present: Blomquist, Carlson, Eichers, Johnson, Olson <br />Rose, Seward, Van Hatten, Council Rep. Williams <br />Member absent: Kalina <br />III. Minutes of May 6, 1987 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />City Hall has open house & dedication June 9. <br />Williams stated that the Centennial Gardens are in. <br />The playground dedication at Bel Air went well. <br />Williams said the council approved the Brama apartment building <br />on 10th between downtown and the freeway. Construction is to <br />start very. soon. <br />The. water issue. is heating up with the army. The city has <br />received a proposal and is looking at it closely. <br />The Council declined-the Irondale parking proposal. The <br />proposal was to build a cafeteria and parking for students. <br />The Council deferred this issue. <br />Landscaping around City Hall is done. <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Johnson said he had been told there would be a May meeting but <br />there was none. <br />C. Petition from Hansen Area Residents <br />Anderson said that the Council had instructed the Maintenance <br />Department to mow only the areas that were absolutely <br />necessary. <br />Anderson said this year we could be mowing more areas because <br />it is dry but rabbits, geese and ducks need a place also. <br />
