William's absence. The
Rice Creek Trail went before the Council and the main concern to look at
was the safety of the crossings.
The lights are up and mounted at the driving range. They will be
activated tomorrow.
Senior Center purchase agreement has been signed for the Rice Creek
Shopping Center. The key element in the development is the Senior
Center. The high rise will not be built without inclusion of the senior
center in the plan.
Olson heard that Fridley had to have a definite decision by June 1st.
Anderson said he thought the reasoning behind that was that a decision
would be made as far in advance as possible ahead of the elections. The
planning staff want to keep it moving but it is more complex now since
the plan is to demolish the existing facility.
The Park Board recommendation for 510,000 for play equipment at Pike
Lake went to the Council. The Council recommended that 515,000 be
given toward the project.
Trevorrow asked what was going in at Freedom Park.
Anderson said it was a bocce ball court. The seniors had requested one.
