NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD 112QJiJ1'ES APRIL 6, 1994 I. Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chair Olson. at 7:30pm. II. Eichers, Heinrich, Kinzie, Orel, Olson, Trevorrow Matt Fulton, City Manager; Amy 7akubowski, Pazks & Rec Intern; Larry Holmberg, Ramsey County, Ken Simons, Ramsey County. Cazlson, Knuth, Sykes roduced themselves and welcomed new member Don III. Minutes of February 2, 1994 and Mazch 2, 1994 MOTION BY ETCHERS, SECONDED BY TREVORROW, TO APPROVE FEBRUARY 2, 1994 AND MARCH 2, 1994 MIIWTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. IV. Correspondence A. Council Report Councilman Williams reported the Rice Creek Trail has been brought to the Council. Residents had an opportunity to voice their concerns. Williams said that personally his paramount concern was safety. He said the safety concern was the Silver Lake Road crossing. But after he looked at it, he was no longer concerned about it. Williams complimented Anderson on the comprehensive recreation program offerings there aze in New Brighton. He said he doesn't know of any community that offers the wide range of programs that New Brighton does. B. Multi City Senior Center Mike Gould found a site in Blaine for the Church Upon the Rock. There is significant movement toward the Senior Center. There is a very real possibility of developing the site. C. Family Service Center Anderson stated 8,000 cubic yazds of topsoil has been removed and moved to different sites in the City for use. No soil correction has been needed so far for the footings. Sewer and water pipes aze in, footings go in tomorrow or Friday. Amy will be working on the project of gathering information from other communities regazding, hours, fees, family rates of their community center.
