NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />112QJiJ1'ES <br />APRIL 6, 1994 <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Olson. at 7:30pm. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members present: <br />Also present: <br />Members absent: <br />The Park Board int <br />Heinrich. <br />Eichers, Heinrich, Kinzie, Orel, Olson, Trevorrow <br />Matt Fulton, City Manager; Amy 7akubowski, Pazks & <br />Rec Intern; Larry Holmberg, Ramsey County, Ken <br />Simons, Ramsey County. <br />Cazlson, Knuth, Sykes <br />roduced themselves and welcomed new member Don <br />III. Minutes of February 2, 1994 and Mazch 2, 1994 <br />MOTION BY ETCHERS, SECONDED BY TREVORROW, TO APPROVE <br />FEBRUARY 2, 1994 AND MARCH 2, 1994 MIIWTES AS SUBMITTED. <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Councilman Williams reported the Rice Creek Trail has been brought <br />to the Council. Residents had an opportunity to voice their concerns. <br />Williams said that personally his paramount concern was safety. He <br />said the safety concern was the Silver Lake Road crossing. But after <br />he looked at it, he was no longer concerned about it. <br />Williams complimented Anderson on the comprehensive recreation <br />program offerings there aze in New Brighton. He said he doesn't know <br />of any community that offers the wide range of programs that New <br />Brighton does. <br />B. Multi City Senior Center <br />Mike Gould found a site in Blaine for the Church Upon the Rock. <br />There is significant movement toward the Senior Center. There is a <br />very real possibility of developing the site. <br />C. Family Service Center <br />Anderson stated 8,000 cubic yazds of topsoil has been removed and <br />moved to different sites in the City for use. No soil correction has <br />been needed so far for the footings. Sewer and water pipes aze in, <br />footings go in tomorrow or Friday. Amy will be working on the <br />project of gathering information from other communities regazding, <br />hours, fees, family rates of their community center. <br />
