3. Tennis courts -- The tennis courts should be kept on the master park plan, but the <br />Park Board re-emphasizes its desire to keep the development of any tennis courts as a <br />low priority within the park. <br />4. Park Trails -- Park trails throughout the park should be constructed of an asphalt <br />material at an eight foot width, except the northern Black Oak Drive access trail (Item <br />No. 2.) <br />Note: Commissioner Knuth proposed the following motion. for aesthetic purposes and <br />to create a narrower trail, the proposed trail to be constructed from Bent Tree Drive <br />to 3.5 lots easterly from the Bent Tree Drive shall be defined as a sidewalk, and <br />thereby kept at a narrower path width, subject to reviewing municipal liability <br />exposures involved. This motion died for lack of second. <br />5. Gazebo location -- The Park Board acknowledges the conceptual location of the <br />gazebo on the master park plan, and that the specific gazebo location that will be <br />finalized at the actual time of construction to ensure its most appropriate location. <br />6. The pond shall have a fountain installed within it that will operate on a seasonal basis. <br />8. The pond rocks will not be installed around the park due to the associated <br />maintenance difficulties. <br />9. Basketball courts -- The Park Board re-emphasizes its desire to leave the basketball <br />courts as part of the plan. <br />10. Vehicle access -- The Pazk Boazd re-emphasizes its intent to limit trail access to <br />municipal service vehicles only. <br />11. Pond location -- The Park Boazd indicated its desire to see the existing pond <br />regraded and shifted further to the north as well as removal of run-off silt that has <br />accumulated on the western edge of the pond. <br />Motion approved unanimously. <br />Council Representative Williams recommended to City Manager Fulton that the details of the 1994 <br />construction plan be incorporated within the staff memorandum so that all area residents become <br />aware of 1994 construction plans. <br />Pte- ~ ~ ~ ` <br />C:uVIGR~PARK BD.MIN <br />_____ <br />_ __ <br />7anuazy 6, 1994 <br />
