This program is intended to enhance the skills and abilities of existing New Brighton leaders and to attract and develop the skills of New Brighton's next leaders. This project will be a cooperative effort between the City of New Brighton, the Chamber of Commerce, the New Brighton Rotary Club, and New Brighton Jaycees. The Citizen Study Committee (to be renamed to the Public Policy Commission after January 1, 1995) has been assigned the lead responsibility for working with staff in developing this Leadership New Brighton program. The Leadership New Brighton program will be held at the Family Service Center of New Brighton which will provide a wonderful focal point for developing leadership potential and skills. The format will include holding numerous educational and informative sessions on various leadership development issues. The Citizen Study Committee would like to request your help in identifying the topical areas that would most benefit you as New Brighton leaders and community residents, as well as the times and days that would best accomodate your busy schedules. This program is not being designed specifically for you, a municipal committee member, but we certainly hope you will consider taking part in this new program. A list of potential seminar topics have been identified on the attached grading sheet. We would appreciate you rating each topic from one to five (1-lowest interest, 5-greatest interest). If you have any other thoughts that would help to make this Leadership New Brighton program a success, we would certainly welcome those comments as well. Please write down any ideas you have at the bottom of the rating sheet. Your commission chairperson will be asking you to submit your sheets at your next commission meeting so we hope you will find time to complete it prior to that date.
