July 13, 1994 New Brighton Pazk Boazd Minutes 2 <br />V. New Business <br />A. Silver Oaks, Pazent Request ~` <br />Pazents in the Silver Oaks azea requested, by letter, that several <br />improvements to Silver Oaks Pazk be made. They recommended that <br />the- improvements for Silver Oak that aze in the budget and moved from <br />1995 to 1996 be moved back up to 1995. See motion below. <br />B. Silver Oaks Appraisal <br />Jake Cadwallader, developer in the Silver Oaks azea, wrote a letter to <br />Erny Manila regazding a piece of property that the City had appraised. <br />Cadwallader is questioning the property value and the way it was <br />appraised. Cadwallader would like a piece of the pazk property and is <br />asking that the City sell that piece to him. <br />Anderson agreed that the piece of property is not useful to the pazk. ~ <br />The tennis courts will be moved to a flat area.. Would like to sit down <br />with the neighborhood and talk about the location of the tennis courts <br />and about moving the play equipment to 1995. <br />Kinzie suggested taking the money from the sale of the property and <br />putting back into the new tennis court. <br />Anderson asked the Park Boazd if they would be willing to have a <br />meeting with the Silver Oaks residents. He also asked how they felt <br />about moving the Silver Oaks budget back up to 1995. <br />Eichers commented that there would be a lot of people at the Silver <br />Oaks meeting. <br />MOTION BY KINZIE, SECONDED BY HEINNRICH. TO <br />RECOMMEND SELLING THE LAND BECAUSE IT IS NOT NEED <br />FOR PARK LAND. <br />MOTION BY HEINRICH, SECONDED BY KINZIE, TO <br />SCHEDULE A MEETING WITH SILVER OAKS RESIDENTS AT <br />THE SEPTEMBER 7TH PARK BOARD MEETING AND MOVE <br />FUNDING FOR SII,VER OAKS PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT <br />BACK TO 1995. MOTION CARRIED. <br />C. Family Service Center Committee <br />The committee should have policies finalized in August. <br />
