If a resident wishes, the ordinance states that a <br />homeowner who. does not :wish this activity, can place a statement. in their: window. _ . . <br />If a peddler, ignores. this. sign, they could, be charged. with trespassing: a . ._ <br />.. ., <br />Mr. Hazd noted that a very workable licensing process now: exists and allows for`- - ~ - <br />selective enforcement-and waiving of fees for non profits: Previous legal: review of._. <br />the ordinance suggests that prohibition of any one group is difficult and the <br />ordinance would need to;prohibit -all groups in order. to be legally: viable.: The CSC <br />recommends no changes to the code relating to peddlers and solicitors ~ k <br />', ~,- . - <br />Gunderman agrees with the CSC'recominendation._ He noted that he would be very - - - <br />surprised to see that alTof these peddlers are actually licensed by-the City.:: Nelson ~ ~; ~ `< <br />feels that the trespassing' signs could serve ~a purpose for some residents.
