February 3, 1993 Pazk Boazd Minutes 4 <br />A resident inquired about the number of people allowed under the <br />pavilions. <br />Anderson said 120 under the large one and 50-75 under the smaller <br />one. <br />Anderson said we will be cutting back the number of groups we put at <br />Driftwood. <br />One resident commented that she thought it was. nice that their church <br />group could use the park free. <br />Anderson said there are different fees far different groups. Church and <br />civic organizations in New Brighton are not charged a fee. <br />A resident commented that the basketball court is well used. <br />Another resident suggested a smaller court with lower hoop for the <br />younger kids. <br />Anderson said unfortunately the Tower hoop is ideal for vandalism. <br />A resident asked if there have been many injuries on ball fields after a <br />rain when the grass is slippery. <br />Anderson said he can't recall a serious accident in more that 10-12 <br />years. <br />A resident asked about the ramp to the new skating area. <br />Walker said an area about 15 feet wide has been cleared of snow and <br />flooded so skaters can get to the new free skating area. <br />Anderson said there is matting on the walking path. More matting <br />could be put on the path leading to the pleasure rink. <br />A resident said her daughter really likes the new pleasure rink. She <br />has skated more this year than in the past. <br />A resident stated a light in the parking area would be wonderful. <br />Vt. Old Business <br />None <br />
