NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />APRIL 1, 1992 <br />I. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Olson <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Eichers, Helgeson, Kinzie, Knuth, Ocel, Olson, <br />Rose, Trevorrow, Council Rep. Benke Also present: Kelly Schultz, New <br />Brighton Park & Rec. Program Supervisor -Senior Citizens <br />Absent: Kalina <br />III. Minutes of February 5, 1992 <br />MOTION BY ROSE, SECONDED BY HELGESON; TO APPROVE THE <br />MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 5, 1992 AS SUBMITTED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Anderson said this item will be taken off the agenda because there <br />have not been any meetings for quite some time. <br />Benke asked if there was any need for the committee to continue. <br />Anderson said he could not see any reason to continue. <br />B. Council Report <br />Benke stated the Council has completed the goals and objectives for <br />the year.- The Park Board should receive a copy. <br />Benke also stated the Council would like to get a cross section of <br />boards and commissions similar to the one for the Community Center <br />Task Force, only it would have a broader view. <br />Anderson said the Council approved the contract with the City of <br />Roseville for a three way agreement with the Forester. The Forester <br />will now have duties in New Brighton, Roseville and Mounds View. <br />More part-time staff will be added. <br />C. Senior Task Force <br />Olson stated that the Senior Task Force toured the Rice Creek <br />proposed senior center site. <br />The group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday. The next meeting will <br />be at Mounds View. <br />
