January 8, 1992 Park Board Minutes <br />2 <br />Kinzie asked where the money for snow plowing comes if the amount budgeted is <br />depleted. <br />Gunderman said money is borrowed from another fund. <br />Gunderman said the City is very fine tuned; it has good staff. <br />B. Senior Center Task Force <br />Johnson spoke with Kelly Schultz earlier in the day to get updated on the status of <br />the Senior Center. A survey was done by "Decision Resources" . The task force <br />is meeting tonight and will receive the results of the survey. The task force felt <br />that the results would be positive. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Election of Officers <br />Johnson postponed this item until the next Pazk Board Meeting. <br />Gunderman said the Council will approve appointments at the January 14th <br />meeting. <br />B. New Brighton Pride Initiative <br />Johnson asked the Park Board's response to the "New Brighton Pride" document <br />sent out by the Citizen Study Committee. <br />Johnson feels it would be fantastic. <br />Kinzie said she liked the idea. <br />Seward said they are doing this now in his neighborhood. He thinks it is a good <br />idea. <br />Johnson said the Citizen Study Committee would like comments from the boazds <br />and commissions related to this. <br />Sewazd asked how we could criticize this - it looks good. <br />Ocel asked how it would work. <br />Gunderman said he understands that if the Park Board likes the idea, then the <br />Citizen Study Committee will move forwazd with putting it into action. <br />Johnson said that in November the Park Boazd talked about "adopt a park" . This <br />was also mentioned in the "New Brighton Pride" information. <br />
