The program has proven to be an overwhelming success, and your organization deserves a great deal of credit for participating in this program that will play a major role in reducing the ever-increasing park maintenance budget. As we proceed into the summer, it is time to formally schedule the second and third clean-up projects at each of the assigned City Parks. I am also. in the process of scheduling the presentation of the resolutions of appreciation from the Mayor and City Council at the Open Forum Sections of designated City Council Meetings in August. Enclosed is a form that needs to be completed and returned to the Parks and Recreation Department by Friday, July 26, 1991. Please include the name of the assigned park, the organization responsible for the clean-up projects, and the names of the participants that should be included on the resolution of appreciation from the Mayor and City Council. Your organization has been scheduled to be presented with your resolution of .appreciation at the Open Forum Section of the August 26th City Council meeting. All participants should be present in the City Council Chambers at the Champlin Municipal Center at 7:00 p.m. on August 26th. If you are unable to attend the City Council meeting, please notify the Parks and Recreation Department at least one week prior to the meeting. The Adopt-A-?ark signs, highlighting your organization as the group responsibie for the clean-up.in the assigned park, have been installed. If your organization, has any photographs that have been taken during your clean-up projects or near the Adopt-A-Park signs, please forward a copy along with the completed form, so we can include them with you= file. I hope the Adopt-A-Park program is proving to be an exciting learning experience for the participants of your organization. Thank you once again for .your support of the .Adopt-A-Park program and I am looking forward to'working with you throughout the rest of the summer season.
