NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 5, 1991 <br />I. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Chair <br />Johnson. <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Johnson, Kinzie, Ocel, <br />Olson, Rose <br />Also present: Kelly Schultz and Pat Tuma, Recreation <br />Program Supervisors <br />Members absent: Eichers, Kalina, Seward <br />III. Minutes of May 1, 1991 <br />No action was taken. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Committee did not meet. <br />B. Council Report <br />Gunderman said the single family dwellings were <br />approved for the Acron development. <br />Johnson said he was glad. He prefers that over <br />rental units. Once it was stated that there will <br />be single family homes, it would be hard to switch <br />to something else. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Program Review - Mission Statement <br />The mission statement (attached) was reviewed and <br />the Board felt it was acceptable. <br />Pat Tuma, Program Supervisor for the Parks and <br />Recreation Department explained that she was <br />responsible for all of the programming except the <br />Senior Citizens programs which Kelly Schultz <br />handled. <br />Pat went through the 1990 Program Analysis report <br />which she had put together and explained each <br />program, number of participants, fees and costs. <br />(See attached.) <br />Johnson asked if the Park Board would now be an <br />advisory board for recreation programming. <br />
