NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD
MINUTES
MARCH 6, 1991
I.
II.
III.
IV.
The meeting was called to order by Chair Johnson at
7:35pm.
Members present: Carlson, Eichers, Johnson, Ocel,
Olson, Rose, Seward
Members absent: Kalina, Van Hatten,
Council Rep. Gunderman
MOTION BY EICHERS, SECONDED BY SEWARD, TO APPROVE THE
MINUTES OF JANUARY 2, 1991 AS SUBMITTED.
Correspondence
A. Long Lake Advisory Committee
Johnson stated there is a meeting scheduled for
Monday, March 11 at 7pm at City Hall. Stockyard
Days, Antique Car Run and the Long Lake Advisory
Committee will meet to discuss the combined event
to be held at Long Lake Regional Park. The County
is concerned about the parking dilemma with a
group this size and the possible damage that could
be done.
Anderson commented that the Antique Car Run wants
to drive hundreds of vehicles onto the proposed
ball field area. This year it is not as big a
problem because the area is not yet sodded but
next year the County plans to irrigate & sod. The
County may lose 30-40% of their budget so repairs
needed to the park are of major concern.
Johnson stated he did not know about the Antique
Car Run request of the County.
Anderson the County has bent over backwards for
the City.
Anderson feels it is something that should be
discussed with the Long Lake Advisory Board.
Anderson feels this will be resolved.
