NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MEETING <br />JANUARY 2, 1991 <br />I. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Chair Johnson. <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Johnson, Kalina, Ocel, Olson, Rose, <br />Van Hatten. Steve Jensen and the President of <br />the East Innsbruck Assoc. were also present <br />absent: Eichers, Seward, Council Rep, Larson <br />III. Minutes of October 3, 1990 <br />MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED BY ROSE, TO APPROVE THE OCTOBER 3, 1990 <br />MINUTES AS SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />Johnson stated there is an attempt to meet quarterly or at <br />least 3 times per year. There was concern as to whether the <br />committee should continue. Bob Nethercut believed it would <br />be good. It was decided that four meeting dates would be <br />set. Bob Nethercut is the chair of the new Ramsey County <br />Park and Recreation committee. He was in favor of the <br />committee continuing. Carlson added that he was even in <br />favor of having more groups involved. <br />Anderson felt having Bob on the committee is very positive. <br />Bob was Director of Metropolitan Council Parks and Open <br />Space Council. He was also Mayor of Arden Hills. <br />Anderson stated that the trail link between Stinson and Long <br />Lake will be completed this summer along with the bridge. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Election of Officers <br />MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED BY CARLSON, THAT THE OFFICERS <br />REMAIN IN POSITION; KEN JOHNSON, CHAIR, DAVE VAN HATTEN, <br />VICE-CHAIR. MOTION CARRIED. <br />
