BACK TO COUNCIL. Plan <br />Report 90-198 <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion~~Carried <br />Kevin. Locke, Community. Development Director, said the -0pus Ri ht of First Refusal <br />Corporation has expressed interest in Lot #4 of Brighton Corporate g <br />Park for construction of a building for a specific tenant. of Lot 4 BCP <br />Report 90-199 <br />Opus has requested a right of first refusal to the property for 90 <br />days. Locke noted that Opus is a reputable builder/developer and <br />while there are no guarantees a tenant will be found, Opus probably <br />has a good change to succeed. Ninety days is a short period of <br />time, and if a opportunity is presented to the City during this <br />time, the right-of-first refusal allows the City an out. <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Brandt Rebelein, to GRANT OPUS <br />CORPORATION A 90 DAY RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL FOR LOT #4, BRIGHTON <br />CORPORATE PARK SUBDIVISION, COMMENCING ON SEPTEMBER 11, 1990. <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br />Williams s-aid the Ramsey County League of Local Governments (RCLLG) Ramse Count Charter <br />appointed a Legislative Committee to review the proposed Ramsey y y <br />County Charter. The Committee reviewed the Charter and produced a <br />report which listed their concerns. <br />The RCLLG has scheduled a meeting to discuss the Charter on <br />September 19th in the New Brighton City Hall. Prior to the meeting, <br />RCLLG members have been asked to poll their respective elected <br />officials for their views and opinions on the proposed Charter. <br />The opinions will be compiled and published to serve as a resident <br />guide to how their elected officials view the Charter. Williams <br />requested feedback from each Councilmember before the September 19th <br />meeting. <br />Brandt Rebelein said the Ramsey County League of Women Voters will <br />hold an informational-meeting on September 13th, 7:00 p.m., at the <br />Falcon Heights City Hall. The meeting will be cablecast. <br />Brandt Rebelein, the New Brighton representative on the Charter Task <br />Force, admits that she does not feel the Charter would hurt New <br />Brighton, but is unsure- of its benefits to the City. <br />Page 9 <br />Berke sees the Charter as an opportunity for residents to i nsure .the <br />best form of government in which to benefit their City. <br />
