The complexity of the jungle-gym has the power to <br />sustain interest. The small tunnel on this piece of equipment <br />provides a place for children to hide. The half rainbow ladder, <br />graded chain ladder, and the small slide on the large jungle-gym <br />gives small children an opportunity to play on this apparatus. This <br />enables younger and older children to play together. <br />The hexagonal shape of the swing set is novel which. elicits <br />responsiveness. There is more social interaction because the swings <br />face each other rather than being side-by-side. Preschoolers and <br />toddlers are able to participate with older children by using the <br />bucket seat. <br />The slide is novel in that it is built into the side of the hill. An <br />advantage of this built in slide is that it is constantly close to the <br />ground. Children tend not to be a afraid of this type of slide as <br />compared to a standard slide.
