Page 8 -March 27, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes Motion by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to ~ble the item until the Apri110 City Council meeting. 5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements, and Updates Municipal Advisory Commission Reports: Dean Lotter-Gifu Manager Mr. Lotter reported he will be negotiating with the Teamster's union and the Sergeant's union in the coming week. The Chamber of Commerce has requested a meeting for Friday March 30th. A time will be set up to deliver Firefighters employee gifts. A request was made that council would complete a form to be utilized at the team building retreat April 12-13th. Councilmember Marv Burg -Parks. Recreation, and Environmental Commission Councilmember Burg invited any interested resident to a trail sub-committee meeting, April 24th at 6:30 at the Family Service Center. Councilmember Ann Hoffman -Economic Development Commission Councilmember Hoffman will attend the Ramsey County League of Local Government meeting. An Economic Development Commission meeting was attended, a rough draft was presented for the west side of the Northwest Quadrant. A Northwest Quadrant Update meeting will be held March 28tt' at the Family Service Center. Councilmember Doffing encouraged involvement with observing Hansen Park. Councilmember Doffing is anticipating the Team Building retreat scheduled fur April 12- 13th. Gratitude was expressed for donations made to the Community Emergency Assistance program. Councilmember Gina Bauman -Public Safety Commission Councilmember Bauman reported the Public Safety Commission meeting was cancelled due to weather. The next meeting is scheduled for March 28ti'', however Councilmember Bauman will not be able to attend, because she will be at the Northwest Quadrant Update meeting. Mayor Larson Mayor Larson will be attending a joint meeting with the Cit~ of Mounds View on April 2nd. The retirement for Dave Fridgen was announced, March 29t , 6:00 pm, at the Tri-City American legion. Mayor Larson met with several representatives in Washington, D.C. Mayor Larson along with Dean Lotter and Grant Fernelius met with Representative Knuth and Senator Chaudhary to discuss specific concerns to the city of New Brighton. Mayor Larson met with a group of at Christ the King Lutheran Church to discuss Northwest Quadrant issues.
