Planned Unit Development Amendment for Long Lake Landings <br />impacting the exterior elevations of two building types provided <br />by David Bernard Builders & Developers. <br />Report No. 07-063. Resolution No. 021. <br />City Planner Janice Gundlach explained a resolution approving a PUD was approved <br />In August 2006. A change to add decks an the units has been requested b3' the <br />developer. The plaruzing commission reviewed the item and recommends council <br />approval. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Hoffman to adopt the <br />attached Resolution approving the requested PUD amendment subject to the following: <br />• Continued conformance with the PUD conditions noted in Resolution OG-0$5. <br />• Any future changes require review and approval of the' Planning Commission <br />and City Council. <br />Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />6. Consideration of Resolution Establishing Approved Appraisal of Value <br />for Purchase of 1255 Old Highway 8 NW. Report No. 07-064. <br />Resolution No. 07-022: <br />City Manager Dean Lotter introduced Assistant Director of Community Development, <br />David Black.' The property was described as the Post Office, it was explained that the <br />city is attempting to acquire the building as part of the Northwest Quadrant <br />redevelopment plan. The Court directed the city to deposit money for the property. <br />An appraisal was completed by a reputable company; the value was determined to be <br />$685,000. The ultimate value will be determi~.led by the condemnation <br />commissioners. The City is scheduled for possession as early as April. Staff <br />recommends that the value be recognized as fair value. <br />Councilmember Doffing requested clarification from Bob Lindall on the timeline of <br />the process. <br />Mr. Lindall explained the quick take statute authorizes the City to obtain early <br />transfer of title and possession, if the interest being acquired upon deposit or <br />yment of its appraisal of value. Tonight's action would identify the appraisal report <br />being the city's estimate of value for the property. The owner could submit a <br />different value. The city would be required to pay whatever amount determined by <br />the process; regardless of the appraised value. Title would be granted at the time the <br />order is approved by the court and the deposit of determined amount. <br />Councilmember Doffing requested to see the appraisal report, as there wasn't <br />sufficient time for review prior to tonight's meeting. <br />5.
