Planned Unit Development Amendment for Long Lake Landings impacting the exterior elevations of two building types provided by David Bernard Builders & Developers. Report No. 07-063. Resolution No. 021. City Planner Janice Gundlach explained a resolution approving a PUD was approved In August 2006. A change to add decks an the units has been requested b3' the developer. The plaruzing commission reviewed the item and recommends council approval. Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Hoffman to adopt the attached Resolution approving the requested PUD amendment subject to the following: • Continued conformance with the PUD conditions noted in Resolution OG-0$5. • Any future changes require review and approval of the' Planning Commission and City Council. Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried 6. Consideration of Resolution Establishing Approved Appraisal of Value for Purchase of 1255 Old Highway 8 NW. Report No. 07-064. Resolution No. 07-022: City Manager Dean Lotter introduced Assistant Director of Community Development, David Black.' The property was described as the Post Office, it was explained that the city is attempting to acquire the building as part of the Northwest Quadrant redevelopment plan. The Court directed the city to deposit money for the property. An appraisal was completed by a reputable company; the value was determined to be $685,000. The ultimate value will be determi~.led by the condemnation commissioners. The City is scheduled for possession as early as April. Staff recommends that the value be recognized as fair value. Councilmember Doffing requested clarification from Bob Lindall on the timeline of the process. Mr. Lindall explained the quick take statute authorizes the City to obtain early transfer of title and possession, if the interest being acquired upon deposit or yment of its appraisal of value. Tonight's action would identify the appraisal report being the city's estimate of value for the property. The owner could submit a different value. The city would be required to pay whatever amount determined by the process; regardless of the appraised value. Title would be granted at the time the order is approved by the court and the deposit of determined amount. Councilmember Doffing requested to see the appraisal report, as there wasn't sufficient time for review prior to tonight's meeting. 5.
