Task 8 - L,andsca in rban Desi n <br />Our original scope of work included services to provide landscape and urban design <br />enhancements far reconstruction of Old Highway 8 including planting plan, irrigation provisions <br />(including performance specifications), and special pavements. As requested by City staff, we <br />provided landscaping/urban design alternatives including multiple plans, details, and cross <br />sections illustrating design concepts and precedents for presentation to the City Council. The <br />ultimate landscape/urban design scheme required design, details, and special provisions which <br />were not included in the original contract for the following features: <br />Limestone pylons <br />Trail nodes, including benches, trash receptacles, and special plantings and pavements <br />Pedestrian intersection layouts coordinating future signal features as well as existing <br />pedestrian features constructed during Phase I Streets and Utilities. <br />Task 9 -Construction Phase <br />City staff has requested that we assist them with 2007-2008 construction phase services. Items <br />associated with this task include: <br />1. Attend pre-bid meeting, bid-opening, preconstruction meeting, weekly construction <br />meetings, and field visits (assume 35 meetings/visits total) <br />2. Prepare bid tabulation <br />3. Shop drawing review <br />We will provide the above services as part of Old Highway 8 construction phase services. <br />Schedule <br />Consultant and Client agree to the following general schedule in connection with the services set <br />forth above: <br />Final Plans Complete for Submittal to Mn/DOT March 5, 2007 <br />Bid Opening May 1, 2007 <br />City Council Award Construction Contract May 8, 2007 <br />Construction Start May 29, 2007 <br />Construction Complete -South of Railroad November 2007 <br />Construction Complete -North of Railroad August 2008 <br />Fee and Billing <br />For the services set forth above, Client shall pay Consultant the following additional <br />. compensation: <br />
